Today Monday, October 22nd is Maggiano's National On the House Classic Pastas Day.  Every guest that dines in the restaurant will receive a free classic pasta to take home!

Classic Pastas include:

• Four Cheese Ravioli
• Baked Rigatoni Pomodoro

This is a special giveaway, but note that Maggiano's ALWAYS gives away a complimentary classic pasta with the purchase of a classic pasta when you dine in the restaurant for just $12.95.  Pretty cool. . . you can order, for instance, Four Cheese Ravioli in the restaurant for lunch or dinner and get to take another pasta home -- and it can be a different one like Mom's Lasagna.  It's a great deal especially since the portions are large and the quality is high (the restaurants all have scratch kitchens).

A Deal: Buy Veuve Cliquot Champagne Now at Central Market!

If you live in Dallas and love Veuve Cliquot, go to Central Market and buy it now.  It's at the lowest price we've ever seen it -- at $35.97 per bottle, and if you buy 6 bottles (of any wine), it comes out to about $32 per bottle which is a DEAL.  I couldn't believe it when I saw the price.  I called Spec's, and it's $42 there at their cash price; it was about $40 at Sam's and even higher than that at every other place I've seen it.

By the way, if you've always wondered how to pronounce Veuve Cliquot, a rep for them once told me that "Veuve" rhymes with "love" (it's not "voov" which is how many people pronounce it), and "Cliquot" is "klee-koe."

I received an e-mail from Maggiano's about their new "Marco's Meal for Two."  It's not a limited time promotion because we went to the restaurant and saw it IN the menu.  Depending on what appetizer/flatbread/side salads you order, this can save you a few $.  It's a pretty good deal especially considering the completely new pastas you get to take home with you.

Free Breakfast at Chick-fil-A

The Chick-fil-A "Eat Mor Chikin" Cows are asking customers to vote "Chikin 4 Brekfust." To help the Cows along the campaign trail, Chick-fil-A is treating customers to breakfast the week of Labor Day at its restaurants nationwide. Beginning today, Chick-fil-A patrons can visit www.chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com to reserve the free Chick-fil-A breakfast entree of their choice. Reservations may be redeemed Sept. 6 – 10 during breakfast hours (6:30 to 10:30 a.m.) at the selected restaurant by presenting a printed copy of the personal invitation received upon making a reservation on the website.
