Recipe: Chocolate-Espresso Snowballs

Chocolate-Espresso Snowballs

I found this recipe I'd flagged in Food & Wine Magazine's December 2011 issue (p. 120).  I had all of the ingredients at home (butter, sugar, vanilla extract, flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, salt, nuts, confectioners sugar) and thought I'd try it out since I needed to bring a dessert to a little get together this past week.  I substituted hazelnuts for pecans.
 
If you love Mexican Wedding cookies but wish there was a chocolate version, you'll absolutely love this recipe!  These are perfect with a cup of coffee . . .
